One character slot per account, as far as I know, there are no transfers of stuff.

Use the same Frontier account.

What Shady said about the account is not incorrect - you can only have one char per account. However what he said is very misleading as for what your question actually was. Frontier have their own registration system and game launcher. Neither Steam or Epic handle your Elite account information. The storage of your game save happens on Frontier's side. You should absolutely be able to buy Elite on Steam and link your existing Frontier account to it (you should have seen that you have to create one if you tried to launch Elite already). However I don't see what you will get out of it except for seeing your time spent in game ticking up.

since frontier uses its own launcher, perhaps if you could get the activation key and activate it on steam

alternatively you could try manualling adding the game in your steam library

I have the frontier account, I know they did a free key to link it to Steam as I got one, you will have to ask them, not steam. it just copies over your account details and game stats.

Hello, I'd like to hear more from this. I got the game free from Epic and I'm going to purchase the game on Steam. If I log in with the account I made for Epic (the frontier account) will it still let me keep my progress and stats?

its possible, just link your steam to same account
t. someone that migrated from epic bc they lack basic features like an overlay (which is a dealbreaker in this game especially)

doesnt this say all? im willing to pay for a game that i got for free just bc the launcher i got it for free on is so trash

also i had some crashes while playin the epic version and neither windows firewall nor logitech seemed to recognize the game so i had to add manually, no such problems with the steam version so far (and i got more playtime on steam than on epic already)

And maybe i begin to be annoy to say every day, every hours, every minutes the same ask again and again...about free vs purchased, and epic vs steam...because if you believe it's for other reason you' re totaly wrong.

90% support ask, are not, and 70% of 10% left, are from lazy peeps who never done any searchs about issue or various gameplay ask.

and in all cases, support and frontier forum will have the right answer. and fast.
out of week end, i guess.

and if this case is real, can't wait to munday ?? and ask when frontier support work ?? need to be on Steam forum a week end ??!! Really ??

well, i like to hear/read more from people than from than X years old articles left to the cobwebs by devs, you cleary need to chill men '-'

In my case for example, I've already sent my support ticket to Frontier but I'd like to see and know if other players migrated from Epic to Steam after they purchased it, and if they kept their progress or stats; which is what OP wants to know, and what I want to know more of and have clarifications for.

dont use "purchase" word, when you get it for free. and if you ask frontier support, ask here, is totaly useless, and an evidance for me, begin voluntary a flame/blame post about

epic vs Steam
free vs Purchased.

Cordialy.
Don't call it "Free", when it's Gratis.
There are still license restrictions on the software you were given access to. :steamdeadpan:
The only freedom involved is the choice of software vendor.
