Can't open Codex even though I have a key binding

Ok this is just odd. When I first started ED after the latest update I was warned that a lot of new features didn't have keybindings, including the new Codex.

Having given them bindings I was able to open the Codex, new discovery view etc.

However today I cannot open the Codex at all.

I've checked the bindings, changes the Codex binding in-case there was something odd, but although I can open all the other views, the Codex will not open.

Tried a re-log, tried a reboot.

Tried opening in space in supercruse, out of supercruise, in a station, with the discovery view on, with it off, in cobat mode, in analysis mode etc, etc. The codex just won't open.

It does open in the '4' key menu, just not on the keybind.

Anyone any ideas?

Not tried the binding myself. If it's not working for you then the best bet is to raise a support ticket: https://support.frontier.co.uk/kb/

In the meantime, you can always just select it from the right-hand panel.

There are no conflicts with other control demands for the same key?

Thanks for the replies, just edited OP as I can open on the right hand menu. I thought I might have a conflict which is why I changed the binding but nope. Just darn odd.

I've not used the featurue myself I just use the right hand panel so I don't really know enough about it but the game might of mentioned something about pressing it to open new finds? Prehaps you have to press after a decent scan? Like a prompt for "press ' for new codex discoveries"
