The Cobra MkIV may not be available for you anywhere though. The Cobra MkIV was an exclusive reward for Elite Dangerous players who upgraded to Elite Dangerous: Horizons during its first year. It is only available to PC players who purchased Horizons before February 5, 2016 (this also includes Lifetime Expansion pass holders), and to Xbox One players who purchased the Horizons season pass before July 30, 2016.

Type the name of the star system you are currently in to the "Reference System" section.
Type the name of the ship and the modules you want to buy to the "Station sells ships" and "Station sells modules" sections.
Click "Find Stations".
Sort with respect to Distance from min to max. Also take a look at the arrival distance and preferably pick something below "500 ls". This is the distance of the station from the system's main star (the star you've jumped to) and I've find out that you do waste more time in the game by travelling within star systems with FSD.
And then go get your ship.
It does not take more than 30 seconds.
And the same site has tools to search for almost anything you desire...
One final note: There is a planetary station called "i Sola Prospect" in the "Brestla" system which sells all ships and all modules in the game. The only trade-off is they are %20 more expensive than their original price...
But still earning money is easy in this game. So if you don't want to waste time travelling you can always park in "Brestla"...
There are also stations which sells all modules and ships even cheaper than their original price (you can search for them from the internet). But they belong to independent factions and are quite far away from the main power factions of the game. So if you are into faction warfare and hate wasting time by travelling "Brestla" is a very good system to have a base in.
So internet databases are a must if you want to do it fast.

This system has many ships available and are on discount.
It also has many modules for sale. Also at a discount price? I'm not sure about that.
