Disable Megaship Turret Mission
Does anyone have an idea WTF you are supposed to do with this mission? I found the megaship, but can't scan it or target any generators or turrets to find the right generator.

Oh God, not more limpets PLEASE! I can scan and target all the systems of regular ships, shouldn't I be able to do the same with a megaship?

oh, I think I know this!

You do need a limpet. idk which, but just one per target.
You scan it with your, idk, the close range scanner. Shoot out one probe.

On your contact menu, find the turret or whatever you're trying to hack. It'll tell you what you need to hack it (the limpet) and if the condition is met. You can then simply select hack.

I discovered this at a mega-station. I tried hacking cargo docks, but didn't have a limpet. I think it'll drop items if I complete the task.

I just got assigned this mission. I found the target ship, which looks to be a derelict cargo ship. It's pretty much already destroyed. There's no turrets to be found at all. I can't disable turrets if there aren't any turrets on the ship!!

No, no limpets. Use a data link scanner on the turret a couple times. It'll reveal the power source. go to that power source and shoot it. That's it.

I don't think I could. I couldn't target any of the turrets. Can they be targeted like subsystems on normal ships?

Data link scan the ship first, may need 2 scans for the targets to be selectable. Fly close to the ship, the turrets should be selectable. Scan again.

1) scan ship
2) scan turret
3) select turrent in contacts
4) objetives tab appear
5) select turret power source
6) destroy it
and misson accomplished

I had to discover this the hard way.

Ha!!! Are you serious!? All this time I was supposed to shoot the thing?! I spent almost 10 hours off and on, trying to pluck it off with a limpet. lol lol lol lol There should be more detailed instructions for these missions; Along with what info they give they should also, mention all the tools needed.

The current instructions in this game for some missions are like someone asking you to go to the store and get their favorite ice cream. First, you might need to let them know what your favorite ice cream is. Then it would be so nice and considerate of you, to direct them to a store that you know that carries your favorite ice cream. So much easier and faster than guessing,... I think.

I used to do those missions, but have not been playing for a year. Can I have some more details point 5-6, please?
I have been shot down. Found the power source as subsystem, could not destroy either by laser or multi canon...

You can ram it with your ship, which doesn't count as a hostile action.
