How do I find out where trade goods are?

I've been playing for 7 hours already and I have done nothing but try and figure out where the heck to find stuff. I go to the galaxy map and filter for stuff like h.e suit etc so i can go out and buy it and bring it back to the station to get rewards but nothing shows up. At this point in the game I have done nothing but complete all but 1 of the tutorial missions. There wasn't a tutorial on how to find stuff.

well this is my other problem. i cant do any missions since my piece of crap ship cant even jump to where i need to go so how am i suppoed to get credits when i cant go to where i need to go?

Upgrade FSD. Sounds like your in a sidey and that should be dirt cheap, and give you a decent boost.

Or, eh, do something other for a bit, get some credits and then jump over to a hauler, which is made for light loads for trading and has a pretty good jumprange.
