Making money as a beginner?
Right now I'm making like 2 mil in 10 minutes doing courier missions. But after that there is a cooldown on the missions to respawn. Is there any way to gain money more efficiently? I'm allied with the Empire and just became a Viscount to buy the clipper. Any suggestions on what to do once I get the clipper?

Earn enough money to buy a python, then outfit it for passenger missions after bringing it to robigo (the big station in the system). Earn 20 mil every 15 mins running people to sirius atmospherics. Do this until you make like 1 and a half billion total credits, you'll also have been gaining rep with the empire the entire time. Then you can fully outfit a cutter or an anaconda and still have lots of money leftover.

There is no "cooldown" per se. The mission board periodically updates. If you are in a system with multiple stations, going to a different station generates a different mission board.

IIRC the mission board updates on average about every 20 mins, so if you have at least 2 stations to visit you should be fine.

Or... you can mode flip, but FD are fixing that soon.

Pretty much anything you do in-game will generate credits.
imo the best thing is to simply try everything and then do things you enjoy, regardless of which makes the most credits.

Well said.

Don't do stuff that you don't enjoy just because it earns more credits. What do credits allow you to do? Buy more/bigger ships... what will you do in those bigger ships? The same as you can do in smaller ships, just it gets easier.

If all you want is easier, then chase those credits.

Personally i'd rather do what I enjoy over that.

try not to get caught up in looking for easy money as when the dev's nerf the credit system again you will get frustrated and this could cause you to miss out on alot of great things in the game.
you want money do the.......Road to Riches and start asap as the next update could ruin it.
but you will make a good amount of money very easy.
just get a ship a dolphin fuel scoop and scanner's your good to go.

The new scanner in the update will actually make it easier.
You won't have to fly 300,000+Ls to a shiny rock to scan it anymore. :D

I'd bide your time until after the next set of updates. Mining and Exploration will be far more enjoyable and detailed. Great to so you can earn that 500 tons of processed ore to be eleigable to unlock one of the engineers; Saleen Jean.
