Fast Travel
I'm currently on the way out to Colonia, about half way there, and already I'm dreading having to fly back to the bubble when the time comes.

Shouldn't we be able to buy transportation just like the NPCs? I'd like to be able to sell my ship at Colonia then take a transport back to the station where my backup ships are stored. Or pay extra to load my DBX onto a megaship bound for the bubble. And to balance it out make players log off for a few hours while they are travelling.

Buy a Sidewinder at Colonia, self-destruct, don't rebuy - voila, you are in the Bubble again. Then transport your Asp-X back.

This is what would happen :

Your idea gains support, FD take a look and agree to allow you to jump on a transport ship. FD then ask the community, should we have insta-travel or real time. Community overwhelmingly votes real time.

Result: you sit in a passenger ship watching your own ship out of the window being transported, jump for jump, along side you. In real time.

Result: waste of FDs time and no improvement the way you want.

Its just the way the community is here. We had a vote to transfer ships instantly or with a timer...timer was voted for and implemented. The core player base actually wants to do this, believe it or not.

Do what Dolphin says...

So you want to wait around for 70 hours, not being able to play the game. Yes, I hope FDev implement this suggestion.

No,the true result is that you logout the game and login some days later when your ship is at its destination

Na, if you log out then you don't progress with the journey.

And if you play games that make you dread things in game, there is something wrong.

There's another method of quick travel; using FSD boosts
Id say yeah for big money just like what we get paid when we take someone to collect data or something.

Id go with on a timer like transfering a ship and you can log out while the timer runs down.

Jump after jump isnt really thrilling gameplay. So a way to skip over it with a credit and time cost seems fair :)

What is wrong is having to waste hours of real time just to travel in a game...
