Seeing as you already have the cutter i say go for it. I mine in the Corvette and trade in my cutter just because lol.
Core build focus :
Good Defensive turret position for instancing defense.
512 cargo capacity
12 collector limpets possible.
This build includes Class 6 shield. You can drop the shield if you want another Limpet Controller.
Especially if you're deep core mining. Cutter is way too big and heavy to be comfortable to mine in.
This build[edsy.org] is almost the bare minimum for the mining cutter except for 8A power plant and 6A fuel scoop. You can also use default thrusters but your cutter will fly like a truck without a brake. Those three hard points are all at the lower part of the ship and have a good concentration so your limpets have to barely travel at all if you mine at 100-200m distance. Heat and weapon pips recharge are never an issue with 4 pips in WPN.
Guess I'll go with the cutter and see how it turns out.
Jump range only really matters to me for getting to and from the site as there's a good painite system which usually has fleet carriers paying a good amount (600k+) per unit so the convenience is worth a little more to me and it sure helps out in avoiding those interdictions too.
