Can you make a Wing in solo mode?
Just curious... I have money to buy another T-7.
Could I hire a pilot NPC or something and make them fly the same missions?

...then what is the point of pilot NPCs and why do Wing Missions show up in solo mode?

NPC crew is for ships with fighter hanger.

Wing missions are meant for multi-player in a wing but you can do it solo too.

that wouldn't be solo then really, wouldn't it?

The game does not differ between the game modes. It creates the same NPCs, same missions and other stuff. The only difference is who you can see and who can see you.

You can do wing missions completely on your own without problems... well... they take longer than normal missions usually.

Yes. It’s a private instance that is populated by players that you invite to it.

if you have a private group but only 1 person plays..... do you have to have other players at the same time......or can only 1 person be in it like solo but private solo?
maybe a dumb question sorry

No, I play almost exclusively alone in my own Private group but have friends that have access to it if they chose to play in it is up to them, but 99% of the time im alone in it

Solo is you alone in the dark of space forever.
Private group is basically open but without the chance of getting ganged because all of the other players have to have been invited to the group to play there

so private is better in a way..... can play with friends but not open to everyone and not alone so to say.
well not alone if everyone is on...
