Can't find screenshots
The normal folder is supposed to be; C:\Users\*username*\Pictures\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous

I have pictures in there from April, but none of the screenshots I capture go to that folder now, so where are they saving to? If they're not saving at all then how do I get them to save?

When I make a screenshot in game it shows the screen capture progression so it's not an issue with my keybinds.

Why would it randomly go into another hard drive?

Whatever reason for that to even happen, there are no other folders for the screenshots to go into. It's easy enough to do some searches through the entire computer for anything "frontier" "elite" "HighResScreenShot" etc. Nothing shows up, so the pictures are simply not saving. I want to know why.

You aren't trying to save high resolution screenshots in a non-Solo mode, by any chance?

Go to your steam main page. Look on the upper left side for "View" then choose screen shots. When that comes up double click one of the screen shots to highlight it. Then click on the button that says "find on drive" and you will go right to where the shots are being stored.

No, I'm already aware that high res shots only work in solo mode due to the delay that it causes when rendering.

Those are steam screenshots taken by F12, which are ok, but aren't as good as the high res shots you should be able to get with Alt-F10.

Make sure you're not having the shortcut already in use. For example Nvidea or Amd overlay - try to run elite without steam overlay as well. Hope this will fix it, good luck!

I just tried all of this and it still doesn't seem to be saving the screenshots. Even if there is something else using that same keybind, I don't think it would prevent it from working because it still shows the progress of rendering the shot on screen, so clearly it's being recognized by the game.

I'm going to try reinstalling and see if that fixes it.

Thanks

Those pics are quite heavy, mine about 94MB each. Check if there is enough disk space, sometimes it can have the easiest explanation. Or validate the integrity of the game files before reinstall.
