Ships that can equip the enhanced Thrusters (Class 2 and 3 only) can reach LUDICROUS speed. My combat courier can boost to 700MS and cruises at 515 (Which is faster than most of my other ships boost)
All that with a loadout able to kill Elite Corvettes/Anaconda (Struggles with Medium ships like FAS and Chieftain though)
yeah how come we don't get Enhanced Performance thrusters higher than class 3? Would like to slap them onto Mamba or FDL .. or Corvette! Now that I have carrier, I don't have to worry about jump range anymore, so could do some insane builds.
In general, the mass curve of enhanced thrusters is really bad, and once you go over like 50T hull mass it becomes effectively impossible to use them, or more specifically, have them outperform A rated standard thrusters.
This is one of the reasons why the Imperial Courier is seemingly the only ship that can use a Combat loadout with Enhanced Thrusters. It uses the Class 3, but has mass more comparable to something like a Sidewinder. Having to power like size 6 Enhanced Thrusters would necessitate a power plant of such mass as to negate the bonus alone.
It'll be closer to 900 once complete.
Well, that sounds entirely safe, yessir. :D
Enhanced thrusters are bought from any engineer that can modify thrusters to Grade 5. So Palin, Chloe and whoever is in Colonia.
