What does your mission say now (left panel, mission tab)?
Is this a mission where you just need to kill a certain number of terrorirsts or a specific one? If specific one then yeah, there should be an instruction to fly near a particilar planet and look for the signal source there
(Did you try using your FSS to scan?)
If its a mission to kill X number of terrorists, then there won't be a specific location. You would just need to kill the required ships, which should be marked as terrorist.
Just guessing here, its been a while since i've done something like this.
a specific person.
I tried using the FSS, but didn't understand it.
Move the tuner to spikes all the way to the left to search for signal sources (is there one for mission objectives in particular? I forgot). Point your ship at solid white dots and zoom in to scan them.
You may have to set up your key bindings first.
2) scan the nav beacon if the system is populated
2) if no nav beacon use the FSS to look for a orange/bronze color circle (USS). The fss needs to be tuned to the bottom of the range.
3) The Mission signal source should show in blue in the left side panel (you may need to scroll down etc)
4) Drop into the USS like normal.
4) alternatively the target may be in supercruise (typcially an FDL, Conda, or Corvettte, but other ships are possible based on rank etc)
5) attack the target
Note: it is possible that the nave beacon/scanning will fail, and the mission will send you to another system to meet a 'informant' of sorts that will redirect you to another system to scan/ find the target.
