Hello. I've been playing for two days now, so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I asked my friend and all he says he's never done such missions before. So, the mission says to "travel to Eanes Barracks + in the LTT 7370 system" wherein I'll receive further instructions. It was a bit of a trip, but it pays well so I go there. Then I get a message saying:

"Interface: Interface with terminal
Target: Attached to a hub access terminal
Target Settlement: Eanes Barracks +

Planetary Landing Module
System: LTT 7370"

I can't find such a place anywhere, so I enter the scanner thingy where everything is blue. I identified everything in the system, but it still doesn't show. So, I try looking things up online, but it's not listed anywhere yet. Then I notice one of the potential rewards is 2 "modified embedded firmware." So, I look that up and see that it's part of DLC. Does that mean the entire mission is from DLC? If so, why can I access it without the DLC. Or, if that's too hard to impliment, why isn't there a notification BEFORE I ACCEPTED THE MISSION?

I don't want to lose reputation with this faction, but the expansion is $30— the cost of the game itself—just to access more of the game. Sure, I might buy it on sale sometime, but I doubt there will be one in the 3 days before the mission expires. WTF are the devs thinking?!? Or am I just crazy and missing something required to continue the mission?

Sorry this is so long, I just wanted to be precise and detailed in case I'm doing something wrong

It was on sale not long ago for 7,5 but ye, you need Horizons, those kinds of missions should have a special icon.

Missions that requires specific DLC's (Horizons currently) shouldn't even show up on the mission board without owning horizons.

Eanes Barracks do exist but I can't tell you which body since I'm currently not in-game.

@Elitewrecker PT Thank you for confirming the issue. Yeah, I just bought the game from that sale. It finally became affordable. But I didn't know if I'd like it or not, so I held off giving them money for expansions I knew nothing about.

Is there any way I can give the mission to someone else or something? Will I lose fewer points by letting it expire or abandoning it?

Don't worry about abandoning it. Whatever rep you lose is nothing another mission can't solve.
