Passenger missions
By having better passenger cabins mean higher-paying customers? I'm trying to make a little more money doing passenger missions.

Bulk passengers are better, so go for more economy modules instead of the others. Never more than 16 passengers per module.

Check out Robigo (Robigo Mines) to Sothis (Sirius Atmospherics) passenger runs. The payout is similar to the currently popular core mining. If you can afford an AspX, its a good starting point but really you gonna sit in a Python in no time even if you have to start as low as a Hauler.

I don't bother with passenger missions. They aren't worth it in my opinion.

Okay so for example, if a person needed a First class cabin too travel in and you only had economy class you couldn't accept the mission. Typically higher classed passengers pay more.

when i did passenger mission's before , " now elporer "
i use to have a anaconda and out fit for 1st class passenger's only.
use to get 48 to 60 first class if i remember.

now if your lucky when you do these missions some times the passenger want to change dester nation. and after that the trip would be 5 to 10mins in lengh.

i use to make 18mil per 10mins
still available to find these mission as when i get back to the bubble i will always fall back to these missions

I think they are worth it, especially if you are in a system where you are allied or friendly. I have a 10 person business class cabin in my Keelback and one time got a mission to take a dude to the next system over, just one jump...and he paid me over 550k credits. I was able to do a few other missions going to that same system next door so I made tons of credits in one simple jump.

Another time a chick wanted to see two visitor beacons, both within 160ly. Took me an hour or two tops and she paid 1.5mil credits plus I made 500k more in cartography since I LOVE using the full spectrum scanner. I could have completed that journey much faster too so you can make big bucks in short time if you find the right passengers.

I use an Anaconda stuffed with first class seats. Sometimes I’ll get passenger missions that pay out over 10 mil for one jump. It’s the best way I know to make money fast.

I actually find mining extremely boring. Passenger hauling is also boring but since a Robigo-Sothis run takes like 12 minutes, i can do it from time to time while i work (25-30 mil a trip, i amassed almost a billion since i started doing it and i play 30-120 minutes a day since the server issues started).

To answer this question specifically - Not really.

Personally I think passenger missions are quite relaxing... its how I started really making credits to be honest. They are a good way to passively earn cash whilst visiting different stations nearby.

My tips;

> Stick to bulk passenger missions, denoted by the briefcase icon without the crown above it in the mission selection screen, although it normally states how many pax in the mission description too.

> Take a note of the distance from the jump star to the location the pax want to go.... anything over 50,000ls away I would question whether it was worth it. Some locations may be further than this (over 200k ls or even Hutton Orbital) and these will pay you a fairly decent amount... if mission stacking is possible here, try it as it can be a good earner.

> Sightseeing missions are not all bad! Kit out a DBX with a good jump range and a cabin and you can earn 5 million+ in 1-2 jumps. Plus this will take you to some of the more interesting locations locally to where you are. You can also stack these, so if you pick up 3 or 4 sightseeing missions locally you'll jump like 8 or 9 times, but you'll earn 4-6 million each mission netting you double figure millions when you return home.

> IMPORTANT: Take a note of whether the pax is a criminal or not. This is in the mission description, but can usually be told by the credit reward too - if it seems high for a small jump / distance its likely the pax is wanted) - You do not want to be landing at the home station, get scanned and find the station now wants your blood after all your hard work. Be mindful of this at ALL TIMES.

> Finally. A good passenger ship for starters is without a doubt the Dolphin but you can really start with any ship, so don't sweat it - Even the pancake Cobra is pretty good at it and as mentioned a specialist DBX with a cabin, guardian FSD and engineered FSD will get you those higher paying sightseeing missions in 1 or 2 jumps rather than 6 or 7.

Don't transport passengers that are wanted unless you want to attract attention from system authorities or bounty hunter. Read the job description carefully. Fly safe Cmdr. o7

Bad thing with first class or even business class V.I.P passengers is they tend to be like "Hey take me to this tourist spot", "Please take me to this new location" or "Please pick me up (insert items)" when you are about 1 min away from their destination.

I only do passenger missions to get Engineering materials. For money I go exploring. Can make over 10 million easy in a short trip to find undiscovered systems but since my ship as of right now can do 63 LY jumps, that helps cover more ground when out hunting for undiscovered systems.

I usually ignore those requests. Makes no difference in payment.
