Elite Dangerous
Which flight stick is better for this game?
Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick
or
Extreme 3D Pro Joystick

Let me know, I'm a noob at this haha

I liked the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas x Flight Stick a lot more.
Not only was it a whole package, throttle is nice. Bu you could also take it apart.

I certainly did not regret it as a beginner / entry stick.
I have the Hotas X and can recommend it. It's a nice budget hotas which works perfect with a lot of flight/space sims.
T-Flight is what I use now. Before then I used an Xbox controller. T-Flight is entry level hotas but if you can't (or not willing) to spend more money it'll do the job just as well as one of the more expensive pieces of kit for you. Thrustmaster are a good brand too. Been using Flight Sims since FS2002 - nearly all of my sticks have been Thrustmaster. Can't fault them myself.
Not sure about the other one so can't compare the two.
if you lower your face down to see what you have in hands (in game I mean) you'll see that the pilote is using the X52 Hotas.

Appart from that, I strongly suggest you use a Hotas with a separate module for throttle.

Fly safe o7
Which the Hotas T-Flight has. You can seperate them.
I like my t1600 Hotas :) wasnt to expensive and works well in lots of games :)
yeah the t16000m is nice too.
Its a lot more accurate than the t-flight hotas, but in the end, both wort well as a beginner / budget hots.

I liked the buttons more i had on the t-flight. I could literally put everything on my hotas ^^
My two T16000 both died, my X flight died as well.
The TWCS throttle that goes with the T16000 is excellent, but Thrustmaster can suck my ass. I won't be buying their ♥♥♥♥ ever again. It's a shame too, the sticks were nice and precise for a while.
I'm using the Extreme 3D now and it's good. Can't vouch for the longevity for it but it's working perfectly.
Have happily used a t16000m for the past few years with Elite, i upgraded from the logitec extreme 3D pro, that stick was annoying me. Would never calibrate the same way twice and was not very accurate.

Odd occurrence with the t16000m though, about 2 years in i started getting odd movement to the left at random. At first i thought the stick was dying but on a hunch I installed its driver and for 2 years since then, its been flawless. No idea why that worked but I probably should have done that in the beginning :p

This is what killed both of mine. It's not a driver issue, you've just lucked out. The mechanism for the rotation axis can slip, then you either have to unmap that axis or bin it.
Grats on getting a non-♥♥♥♥ one.

Some sticks work better. But they are more expensive. My Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog works like new after about 4,000 hours of playing. Zero dead zones, too.

Mine worked for about 800 hours, before its pots wore out too much, so that even dead zones couldn't help anymore. It's a good joystick, too - comfortable buttons placement, enough of buttons to bind most of important stuff.

Yes, the twist axis on t16000m uses a cheap pot, instead of Hall sensors like on main axis. Mine begun to be jerky after just several months of use. So bad that the dead zone doesn't protect those impulsive response changes.

I'll copy and paste my "experience" with the T16000

I've went through three T16000 in roughly 3 years of playing ED only with it. All developed drifting in different places. One would roll in place, the next was side thruster drift and the last was not really drifting per se, but the throttle stopped zeroing out. You can only adjust dead zones so far before it stops being effective.
Of the two I'd go with the Logitech (formerly Saitek, formerly Mad Catz) X-56. It's a solid stick, the only issue I have with it is I feel button two is not comfortably placed for the thumb. Needs to be lower on the stick
