Advanced Missile Rack vs Missile Rack?
I was going to toss on a small FSD disrupting missile onto one of my ships when I realized that the advanced missiles can also be engineered, hold more ammo, and allow anti-xeno ammo to be crafted for it, sooooo, is there any reason why I shouldn't use this one instead? In all ways it just seems better.

The FSD disrupting missile does what it says on the box, at the cost of some of its effectiveness at normal missile things. Neither is outright superior to the other; it depends on whether you want badly enough to disrupt FSDs or not. You're already rejecting more effective weapons by using missiles at all, anyway.

No no, I mean the normal missiles vs advanced missiles. I couldn’t see a difference between them, except for that the advanced ones held way more ammo and we’re old sold in a limited number of locations. I think the advanced ones used to be even more limited, but I bought one and was able to engineer it. I really don’t see a downside, except maybe these only come in one size? Idk. I was outfitting a sort of, support ship and trying to imagine what a badass anime tinkerer would have, and a single use missile to take out someone fleeing seemed perfect. Once I realized that torpedoes aren’t reliable for that I decided I’d swap it out for a missile that disrupts their FSD, and that’s when I discovered the advanced missiles which had so much more ammo.

Advanced missile launchers are supposed to be able to synthesize anti-thargoid missiles, but Frontier forgot to add the recipe.

There are also Advanced Multicannons in the game, and those do have the recipe.

Advanced missiles work against Thargoids and they can hold more ammo. That´s all. :rynn_happy:

So there’s literally no downside; neat (Apart from their limited availability.)
