System Permits?

I got a message in the comm window that my federation rank had improved and that I'd been given a Sol permit.
When I look up permits, I see one for the founders world. (is that sol?)
But when I try to go there I can't because it says I need a permit to enter the system.
Any idea's what's going on?

Founder's World is not at Sol, it's in Shinrarta Dezhra. To get permit you need to be Elite in exploration or trading or Combat.

I'm pretty sure I've got Elite rank in both Trading and Exploration, (unless that's my PS4 account) but I've not done much of either in a while and just got the comm message about getting a sol permit last week.
I seem to remember being told I had a sol permit on my PS4 profile too and thought it was tied to federation rank.
Is there anything of note in Shinrarta Dezhra?

You get Sol permit with Federation ranks.

Shinrarta Dezhra has Jameson Memorial, an station with all ships and modules of the game with discount.

Is it really too much trouble to just go and CHECK what ranks you actually have, instead of bothering people here with 'maybes' and expecting them to guess what the problem is??? SMDH..

If you’re elite in both exploration and trading you likely have enough experience to google how permits work. If you want to go to Sol you need to rank up in the federation.

You probably need to log out and back in for the permit to be recognised. If you tried to visit in the same session as you earned the permit, the game doesn't see it. Same thing with many other changes in your game status.

Edit: To be clearer, I don't mean closing the game and logging out of the launcher. Quit to menu then entering a game mode will do.

You need to relog between getting a permit and accessing the permitted system.

So I took the suggestion and googled it. Found a 5 year old post explaining how system permits work. (seems unlikely anything would change in that time)
Turns out Elite rank gives you the founders world permit. Also turns out I'm only Elite in Trade. Exploration is only Trailblazer.
The Sol permit is tied to getting Federation rank of Petty Officer.
While I did do that, and got the notification for both that and the Sol permit, I guess it must have been in the same session as I tried to visit Sol.

Turns out Manwith Noname and Angry Atnz were the ones with the most helpful answers.

Also thanks to LoboFH for the info about Jamison Memorial. I've heard it mentioned and planed on going there at some point so I'll probably make that my next stop after SOL.
