Can't create new account

Brand new player here. Clicked on Steam Login as I was meant to, it told me to create a new account. I click to so, enter my email address, click "new account" and then it asks for a game code I don't have.

All the solutions I've looked up stated "go into your account and..." well I don't have one, and i can't create one. Can anyone explain this needlessly convoluted sign up process to me?

You have to create your Frontier account:

And link your Steam account there:
https://support.frontier.co.uk/kb/faq.php?id=497

Then, if the game launcher doesn't show you the Steam Log In button, logout/relogin on the game launcher (Options on the top), and restart the launcher:

When I click on the first link the website is broken. I'm having the same issue.

I was working through a similar post, but found that the old Frontier Website seems down or blocked in some way.

I tried it over several routers/connections and devices, all closed down by something called Magneto.

I'm glad I bought it the "old way" when the game just came out of Beta. It seems that buying the game from Steam is really ballsed up.

That could explain the account creation problem. They probably have a technical problem right now. Try a bit later. If it still doesn't work - try their support that you can reach from the FAQ link above. The support page should work.

Right click on the game in your Steam library, go to properties and then go to DLC, your key should be in there if that is needed. =)

No, for new buyers there is no any key. And now my friend just can't register cause their site went down. Great start.

It's back on sale again, so I'd assume there is a big influx of new players wanting to give it a go and that's why their site is down. Just need to be patient!

Hi there i bought Horizon DLC yesterday, the game wont launch the horizon only the standar version, ppl speak about key registration, i didnt get any, also tryed to link steam acc to frontier but i get error when i open frontier login, so look like the site not work, or?

This got it working, thanks for the help! you're more useful than the damn moderators.

I had the same problem, but I figured it out! You need to copy the CD key and click on the 'I have a CD key" button and then paste the key in. THEN you can create a frontier account.

CD keys are only available on Steam if you bought this game before April 2019. For purchases after that date there is not even a CD-Key option listed.
