Best Systems for Ship Upgrades

Hi, new Commander here, been playing about a week. I was wondering which systems have the best ship upgrades. Better than 4A, etc. Mainly FSD and Fuel Scoop.

I tried looking online but all the discussions regarding this are years old and when I go to those stations, all the modules are worse than what's already outfitted on my ship.

Any help would be appreciated!

The High Tech systems usually have the best choice of ship modules. If you want to get it at a 15% discount, too - fly to a star system under Li Yong Rui's control. You can try Lembava, Diaguandri...

If you have one of your ranks as Elite, you can fly to the Founder's world, Shinrarta Dezhra. The Jameson Memorial station there has every ship and every module in the game (but special modules that require unlocking), and at a 10% discount, too.

If you don't mind paying extra, and you have the Horizons, you can fly to the Brestla star system. The planetary outpost I Sola Prospect there has the same all ships and modules choice, but 20% more expensive than the normal price.


Finally, keep in mind that your ship has max sizes for the modules that you can equip. You wouldn't be able to buy or even see bigger than you can equip modules, even if the station does sell them. The number of modules is its size. Your ship's racks also have the numbers - it's the maximum size that it can hold.

I see that you are looking for an FSD better than 4A. 4A is probably the best one that your ship can have. Check the rack's number.

Thank you for taking the time to respond! I think you just solved my problem. I didn't realize that each slot had a class number so I was going from station to station wondering why I couldn't find a fuel scoop larger than class 2 especially in Lembava and Diaguandri... I had it in a class 2 slot *face palm* I still have A LOT to learn it seems.
