How to interact with hub access terminal?
I see threads on this, but I got to 3 km, pointed my ship right at the base and nothing happened. How do you scan the hub access terminal? Is there a scanner you have to have?

Did you use the data link scanner?

Data link scanner is used manually like a weapon, assign it to a firegroup and then 'fire' it at the terminal or whatever you want to use it on (target it first of course).

Maybe try from the SRV if it still doesn't work. Just in case I'm wrong about all planetary terminals being scannable from the ship.

I've always scanned them from my ship, it's only been problematic with ships like the corvette which can't simultaneously keep the terminal at <200m and point at it.

I know this is old but you can scan either way. If you are in a ship you litterally push the nose of your ship against the hub and scan. Ie close. If it is something in space ie a mega ship then you can scan if you are under 200 meters
