Fleet Carriers - Pricing and Exploration
Just opening this up for comment. What do people think of fleet carriers price wise - i.e. cost to buy, cost to outfit, upkeep costs, cost warehouse supplies for services? Honestly, at least for me, it seems to be way to much with very little ability to earn profit. I have approaching 2,400 hours in game and the ability to, if I liquidate everything, get about 10 billion credits. I have just over 5.2 billion in credits. Just not worth it for the minimal return it will generate. If supplies could be bought wholesale from the manufacturer (i.e. below average market price), it would be a bit more attractive. Also, as an explorer, the not having Universal Cartographics is a deal breaker - there is literally no other way to fund this thing out in the black - other commanders will not be buying/selling with you, that just won't be happening. The spin up and cool down is too long in my opinion too, a quarter the time on that would be much better - 30 to spool up and no cool down (as it commits at 15 minutes to go, no turning back). A good exploration ship can go 500 LY in about 10 minutes so 30 minutes for a fleet carrier seems good.

No offense, but if you're going to link a seven and a half hour youtube livestream as source for anything, you probably should timecode it or provide with a time stamp :steammocking:
