I thought basically everyone would use voicepacks by now
Yeah, that's what I've been using aforementioned two years ago =)
But all of the tweaks and settings got lost in time.
But I think it's finally to cough up some credits and get a voicepack. Especially since they are on sale right now.
It's really impressive how much work is put into these.
Besides, you gotta love some William Shatner and Brent Spiner voices. Or Michael Dorn and John De Lancie.
Still unsure though, I'm probably going to go with Astra.
I'm just wondering how much of that is up-to-date and how extensive the library is. Can't find enough info anywhere.
I see they are also working on Ad-Astra, which is going to be available somewhere late 2020.

But I have no idea whether I should wait for it, or it is just something that goes along with ASTRA.
Questions, questions
I mean, good ones, that is
After a bit of tinkering my initial impression is good, I will have to play a bit with it and see what kind of macro she's capable of doing.
My other option was Astra just because of the variety and amount of informations she has
She doesn't need a voice actor so it's the easiest to update and usually the first one to do so.
Others (like verity) receive the same updates but it may take more time
HCS Voicepacks Support claims that they are working on every pack to have the same amount of content, but I really like the fact that ASTRA is the most cutting-edge, because they are using a synthesizer instead of a real voice actor.
Although I am very much looking forward to maybe getting Brent Spiner and Idun Vik.
But most likely I'll end up buying ad-Astra (upon full release), even though it's a year-long subscription - all of the features are really intriguing.
If the game manages to keep me sucked in that long, hopefully.
The price is a bit steep, but I think it's worth it.
A sort of an "ship AI" experience is so classic.
Going to give it a whirl this weekend.
Cool ! Keep me updated if you manage to make it do some "cool" things, I'm finding out it requires more tinkering than I'd expected
