Why does my Asp Explorer sound like a biplane?

Is there something wrong with my game sounds, or are the devs being funny? It sounds like a biplane when you throttle up or down, I swear.

Each manufacturer has a different sound theme to their ships

there's a few ships that use similar engines and they all have the same sound, there's nothing wrong with your game.

try the Viper III, that thing sounds like it has a bunch of tin cans on a string following it. the Cobra III has a boost wind-down sound that sounds like my ex-gf sighing.

unusual maybe, but not broken.

Actually I like my asp explorer engines - but man, I had to get used to the engine sound for the Vulture. Love the ship, but initially hated the sound of the engines! (They did grow on me though - or, at least, I got used to them!)

yeah, it's my favourite ship too, but it's definitely built for fighting, not for loving. it looks like a collision between a cereal box and an accordion, and its sound is as unattractive as its appearance, as you say - but what a great little fighting ship, and even better after engineering

I really would love it if the keelback or some other mega turd ship made a sound like someone farting when you ignite the boost, would just be an even bigger ef you to anyone who own the POS. My immaturity mode is at 2000%

Flying the Asp, the engine reminds me of the sounds the 'jet' engine made in the movie "Airplane". I like the sounds the Python makes better.

Viper mkIII sounds like a spitfire engine chewing up bullets, spitting them out and asking for more. Sexiest engine sound in the game.
