Gave up on ever unlocking Lori Jameson and am going the Bill Turner route. Already have the Alioth permit, but nothing I try seems to rank me up with the Alliance at an acceptable rate. Trading, massacre missions, CS zones, exploration data, got me a 3-4% alliance rep bump and all day of playing. That's insane. Does anyone know the fastest way? Ready to give up on Turner too soon.

you need to be at rank 3-4 with marco to get an invite to her :)

You also need dangerous combat rank. I'm not going to ever spend 500 hrs in combat zones for that.

Why are you trying to unlock Lori, and Bill Turner then?
The main specialty of Lori, is her ability to do G4 Lightweight Life Support, and Her Shield Cells - you would need an Elite Rank, even after you got the Dangerous Combat rank - because she is based in Shinrarta

Dangerous Combat rank, can be gotten by spending some time in a Res Sight, and you don't need to spend time in a Haz to do it!
Nor do you need to spend time doing, JUST combat zones. They wouldnt be much faster than Res for you, if you didnt have the desire to do much combat, or lacked a proper combat ship to do CZs.

The allioth permit, is aquired, by getting allied with the allioth independants - not the alliance, and the original reply, had the requirements listed, in full, to get the invite to Lori Jameson

This is a very confusing thread....in full disclosure, very, very confusing. . .

I want better life support, AFMU and fuel scoop. Lori takes too long (CZs have gotten me nowhere), so I'll take Bill's G3 modules. Alliance rep needs to be friendly, in addition to having the Alioth permit before visiting Bill.

What was confusing about any of that?

As others have said, general anti-pirate bounty hunting in Alliance-controlled space should level you up to Allied with the Alliance nice and quick. You want to use a Kill Warrant Scanner, to make sure you claim all those nice, juicy generic Alliance bounties, rather than the faction-specific ones.
