But, the thing is - I had actually noticed that pirates seemed to be thickening up a LOT just prior to this. And, really - it's a living universe, not a static one... so while it may change my plans to find something new in the universe, or conditions changed, that's a sign of a living place, and really it adds to the immersion. I wouldn't really WANT it to be the same old, same old, every time, even when those changes inconvenience me occasionally.
(And, for the record, the new station I found to operate out of made me realize I should ave shopped around more in the beginning, anyway - I'm probably making like 20% more per run from better prices at my new digs... :) )
Eventually when BGS ticks, you should help push the faction out of lockdown to resume normal operations
This is basic background sim stuff.
