Bought used Saitek X52 Pro Flight H.O.T.A.S
WoW i have to say this is defenitely good and different experience. At first i docked about 5 - 10 mins lol. It was so cool. Now i am docking alot faster. My first day. HZRES sites in my Cutter seemed to control/fight better than i could do on mouse but i still need practice. I am not even using FA OFF anymore.

I think i will have fiew questions about Saitek X52 in future but today i have just one.
Is there a simpe way to disable HOTAS without remowing USB cable from PC?
How you guys doing it? :D

I just rather leave it enabled, or remove USB cable from PC =D didn't find another way, and i doubt it exists.

I will be getting X52 soon as well .
Been thinking to get X56, but have read that there some issues with cables in throttle control , they get broken after short time .

check out this guy:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XHS2CyOOTc

he really explains how to set everything up and has download links to his config files.

I don't like the keys he mapped (he changed all the keymappings to oddball keys) but the layout is generally good and can be used as a template.

I ended up re-binding the stock keys from the "joystick and keyboard" option in E:D, but since his MadCatz template is labeled so well it was easy. I also moved some buttons around to better suit my playstyle.

The video was originally made for the X52Pro, but he has a special addendum for the X52, which is slightly different for configuration files.

If you're good with a text editor you can even edit the config files directly and not use the application if that's easier for you.

Ok thanks guys.

I was looking closely at the Saitek, but officially it doesn't support Windows 10. What OS are you running? If it works on 10 I'll probably get one myself.

Thanks. I'm tossing up between the X52 and the upcoming TM16K HOTAS.

I've heard that Saitek is a lottery, thanks to bad quality control and dodgy manufacturing. That and the apparent(but uncomfirmed) lack of Win 10 support is what's putting me off.

Windows 7 64 bit. When i downloaded drivers there were drivers (on dropdown list) for windows 10 too.
