Exploration values question
I see an icy body planet with "Atmosphere type - methane" is that more valuable than a regular icy body? Does atmosphere make a difference in the value?

Hunting for anything terraformable and any class 2 gas giants seems the way to go

Some atmosphere types are rarer than others, but I haven't seen any reports on atmospheric composition causing a difference in value. As the link above verifies, for most planets, value is linked only to planet type and planet mass.

There is an extra calculation for terraformables, involving some other unknown factor - all we know for sure is that some teraformables are worth much more than others. No-one is quite sure what those other variable factors involve, but it seems to have something to do with how far away the planet is from Earth-normality (and thus how expensive it would be to terraform it). Atmosphere type may or may not be a factor there.
