The Dark Wheel.
We see that map of the galaxy with it's defined arms and what we might call half-arms such are the Orion Spur.
The photo-negative view of that will make the dark areas show up as bright spiralling arms of the galaxy.
The dark patches are also galactic arms in their own right. The space between the visible arms are also arms of the galaxy, but dark.
This sounds a lot like a Dark Wheel.
So I think that's where you find them.
So I think it may be that a dark wheel is a black hole. And that wheel knows where or can point to or focus on the Raxxla location.
The Dark Wheel toast refers to the mother of galaxies which could be Cassiopeiae constellation and a brow jewel. In mythology she is the mother of Andromeda and Raxxla is said to contain a portal of sorts to the Andromeda galaxy.
In the system at her waist (27 Gamma Cassiopeiae) (approx. where she would give birth from her waist area) is a black hole a very dark black hole and it can be focused on the heart and soul nebulaes also in the Cassiopeiae constellation. Heart is also mentioned in the toast, a vagabond heart.
There are other in-game indications that could be interpreted to this area as well.
For example, it was indicated in-game (I think) that "the key is the door." Well the "W" shape of the Cassiopeiae constellation main stars could be the shape of the teeth of a key and one of those teeth/stars is a door.
Read the original 1984 Elite: The Dark Wheel story before unspoiling this. http://www.iancgbell.clara.net/elite/dkwheel.htm
Now I am going out on a limb here but here is another thought to process. In the original story and early on, the ships were "snake" ships Cobra MK II and III. Also in the story, Alex was not ready to face his foe by ship or experience but was thrust into it uncomfortably so. There is the possibility that he got help if those ships have a comms backdoor from an outside source that impaired the enemy snake ship and gave him an advantage.
It is possible that the snake ships have a comms backdoor that Raxxla can comm on and is actively searching for on a hidden freq such that you must find Raxxla in a snake ship. That a newer ship that did not exist back then does not have the comms "key."
Thanks G. I will do more reading.
PS: I did almost write veterinarian.
Raxxla was the seed put in to the stellar forge to generate the galaxy?
This means everything I'm aware of a developer saying on the subject regarding "it's in the game" or "someone honked it" would be technically true but would ultimately put the location out of reach because...well, it's everywhere.
Just one grating thought bouncing around my head. Whether Raxxla is a physical location or not, if it can't be found there would be zero point in it being in the game at all. I can't believe that it will all just end in nothing and "hey thanks players for completely wasting your time".
There must be at least one way of registering it as a discovery. Whether that's a star or a system body or an energy wake....... Well, dunno.
I still think the empty spaces between the spiralling arms of our galaxy are also arms in their own right but dark and resembles a Dark Wheel of sorts. I don't know how we create an organised search of these areas, they're massive.
I've often wondered if the name Raxxla, could be recoded into something similar, as reason why nobody has been able to data-mine anything about it yet. You have two reoccurring spaces, and two different, with a total of six that could be reduced to four.. but much past that my brain just goes into dyslexic confusion of patterns. Honestly, I'd never call a so called paradise by its real name, as it wouldn't be a paradise anymore.. unless you really like miami beaches.
I've gone down this worm-hole in my own hunt, but it all ended up just being field experience with no pudding. I figure its beyond my pay grade and went back to thrashing stuff in my mamba. But I do love a good reading into others.. keep it up, as eventually it'll turn up.
I have a hard time believing it is there as anything tangible.
Edit: Or on the other side of the coin, it's so obviously hidden in plain sight as the place where the dark wheel openly reside.
"Congrats CMDR! You found Raxxla!"
