How to setup Controller (controls) for VR

Hey people,

I bought this game back in the sale and now i started playing it or atleast trying to get into it. I don't have a hotas and i want to play it with controller in VR mode. But when i did first tutorial mission the controls dont recognize controller? I have xbox controller plugged in. How to adjust it? It just says the keys of keyboard and tapped on all the keys of xbox and didnt do nothing. Also when i go into options trying to adjust it, it looks like it's for keyboard only? The controls don't detect that there's a xbox connected and dont give the buttons to configure your controller?

hi i just use the xbox controller that came with my rift and i never had to do any thing,
the game just detected it straight away and off i went (it is a wireless controller i use)

maybe not what you want to hear but if you can go get your self a cheep flight stick or the best you can afford.

why?....because you will get use to that set up for this game and if you put in as many hours as most people on this game a good joystick makes the game so much more injoyable.

i started with a logitech 3d pro for a few years cheep but did the job

just the other day brought a x52 and just plug and play, still not set up correctly but works lol

i too have VR htc vive and the less i can do on the keyboard the better.

for the xbox controller sounds like if it is not reconized then driver's maybe?
or plug it in the usb 2.0 instead of 3.0
i had a xbox 360 wireless controller and it worked just fine. but very it was very confusing to me due to the combinations i needed to use so just brought the cheep 3d pro.

Right click the game in your Steam library and choose properties. At the bottom of the first properties window, set the drop down list under "Steam Input Per-Game Setting" to "Forced Off".

Ye maybe but I'm not gonna spend 50 euros yet, first gonna see if the game is worth it. Don't have other flight games. Posted on reddit too and they recommend me hotas.

the only thing's is if you get frustrated at trying to set up the game with your game pad then this game wont have a chance at weather you like it or not. lol .
