I have always left them along and they let me go my merry way until the botched Gnosis event. I believe they just want to live in Pleiades ammonia worlds except AEGIS don't want them to return.
It's also worth noting, they're a lot more *alien* than the aliens in typical sci-fi games. There's a strong fan theory that they're from another dimension entirely. It's reasonable to assume Thargoids think in a completely different way to us; communication may be impossible.
I also read there are 2 groups of Thargoids except can't quite distinguish their ships b/c the ones who hyperdict or scan you in Distress Call USS do not attack on sight.
According to Jameson and INRAs' logs, he and the scientists were against INRA's plan and remember Jameson's ship was sabotaged by INRA so he can't return. Why did they do it unless they don't want the rest of the world to know?
They were more than willing to attack many human systems and wipe them out completely just to provide a distraction. There is another part were the 'good' thargoids start hunting humans down basically for sport.
The 'goids have no qualms about attacking humans, so i have no qualms about splashing their ships. I still thing the whole trying to wipe out the entire Thargoid Species was a bit much. After all the thargoids have shown relative restrain in their recent attacks. (they damage when they could just as easily wipe the defenseless stations off the map.)
That's from The Dark Wheel, but in that they also were present on human stations not killing people.
Things have been retconned. To tell the truth, we just don't know yet how hostile the Oresians are yet. We don't even know which clan or clans we have been fighting.
Because murderous humans attack and kill them.
Join the Far God. Hunt down and kill murderous AX commanders. Destroy anyone trying to acquire Guardian technology.
because someone though it would be a good idea to deploy hardpoint and shoot at them on sight, not to mention the first contacts were just thargoids hyperdicting you, scaning you, and then leaving you harmless
Because there was never anything to them besides being an enemy type. That whole notion of being able to interact with them peacefully is just just something that was mentioned a few times but it was never corrected.
Besides, with Fdev you know that any peaceful interaction would just include a 'deliver stuff' community goal.
Much easier for them to just make them hostile and not bother to inform anyone of the reality.
You have never been out to Bugkiller I take it.....
