If you find a hotspot that isn't getting depleted, the last thing you want to do is tell anyone about it, because the more people know about it, the quickest it'll get depleted. So don't expect anyone to tell you the location of their favorite opal mining spots ;)
Your best chance is to equip a DSS, check EDDB for pristine ice rings, and find your own hotspots, because any hotpost you were told about would be already depleted by all the other players who were also told about it.
Good news is, they're all over the place, so finbding your own is pretty much trivial.
another post that should read need help mining
Plenty of missions for bromelite that gives millions after delivering.
(know which kind of economies pays the best for various goods)
Visiting various markets instead of using eddb is an advantage.
Alexandrite sells for that price bracket in literally hundreds of places all over the bubble. Still, that's at best 25% of what you get for Opals, Bromellite missions even less, so you're still missing out on a lot of money if the hotspot you're mining spawns cores of the "wrong" mineral.
And never, ever, ever give out the name of a good system to anyone. It will get mined to death. I love how all these YouTube content creator 'idiots', for lack of a better term, go and broadcast some great place to make money in ED to get clicks and subs and then later everyone complains they were wrong b/c literally thousands went and tried it and depleted the hell out of it or changed the system states so much the credits dried up.
As the saying goes, loose lips sink ships. In ED they cause credits to dry up fast and invite all types of people into the system and some types you don't want there at all.
All forums do a terrible job or no job at all of indicating necro threads. Why can't they make them have a red background or something in the main thread list?
