but the things say nothing about having dizzy draw
My 8c bi-weave with 6 boosters have 2000+ shield capacity and those things just add 215 ..... waste of module slots for such a ship.
And if they really have a distributor draw.... they are completely useless.
Might test lowering FSD booster priority from 1 to 3 in CZ and see if bi-weave recharges faster.
My CM4 has 702 shields from a bi-weave, 2 D rated boosters (for resistances) and 3 size 4 Guardian FSD boosters.
Tests went fine. With 4 pips they regenerated without a problem. At 2 pips they drained quickly when recharging. At 3 pips they drained but slowly.
With 4 pips they were back to full strength quickly, so no issues for me.
Keep in mind that's 3 guardian boosters as well.
So yeah, i guess each adds draw, which makes sense, but no idea why you are losing charge with 4 pips.... is your capacitor engineered? Mine is charge enhanced.
Also, i think /me is right. Its not something to add to big ships. They don't need them. Great for small ships though as they really add Mj.
well, they say nothing of dizzy draw, but it does seem to be there, that's my gripe really
4 pips puts it back up, but only just and there is no need to do that without G boosters
yeah, smaller ships they more suit, but having to pip manage even more in them is not helpful, power is at premium to begin with for most of them
even on the big ships they could be useful anyway, take /me's thermal 2000mj cutter, stack 4 G boosters and you have nearly 50% more mj, not to be sneezed at
Thanks guys for identifying this :)
Heh, i think you misunderstood me, was talking about the guardian shield booster. But yeah, all modules draw power even when not in use, except weapons which only draw power when deployed.
quite a few of my ships need those FSD boosters to turn off when i deploy though, power hungry stuff these things to
