How much do FD hat the concept of cargo storage? Consider this: Back when Engineers were first launched, you used to need certain cargo items for engineering, as well as mats. People were hoarding up these Engineering commodities, flying around in Cutters full to the brim with Engineering commodities and not able to swap ships, because they didn't want to dump any of their precious engineering cargo (some of which was difficult to obtain).
People cried out for cargo storage. So what did FD do? They abolished cargo demands from Engineers, so they only ask for mats now. They radically altered how Engineering worked, rather than allow people to store cargo. Those are the lengths FD will go to, to avoid having to give you cargo storage.
Some people seem to be assuming they'll be given cargo storage aboard their Fleet Carriers, if/when they arrive. I remain sceptical about this.
(ship transfers used to not be a thing)
It isn't going to happen. Not now, not ever.
Explain? I'm not understanding how.
It isn't going to happen. This isn't an empire building game. The most you are going to be able to do is store modules. You will never be able to store cargo.
I'm talking about ship parts. And only having info for stations I've already been to and checked for the part I need already isn't much help.
