Latest best way of farming credits decently?
Not to be too picky, but farming all day for just 10 million credits isn't my idea of fun, don't want to take 4 days just to buy a bigger merchant ship.

Anyone got tips, pointers or strategies in how to farm more credits?

What sort of setup do you need for that?
Give me 10 minutes and I'll plug my build. But you need access to guardian weapons and a hull tanked krait, FAS, or FDL. Any ship with a few medium or larger hardpoints works, but those 3 are the top picks.

Ah, I haven't done the Guardian blueprints yet. That's next on my list. But post it anyway, ty.
I want to do some of that after I get them.

This differs from my actual build in that some stuff that's listed as G5 engineered isn't on my ship.
But it works as a good target build. Replace the xeno scanner with a heatsink or another shield booster if you'd rather have either of those.

This ship is a very good choice for solo basilisk and medusa fights, but NOT the build I linked.
Several key modules need to be changed out to work for those two variants.

Can you post your beluga build?

I saw this one https://s.orbis.zone/rYpTy-fP but it seems wrong as it has large passenger modules crammed into smaller ones. Plus it's engineered, I'd only have access to stock.

From my calculations a beluga will only give me two more useful cabins over the krait, and then I have to factor all the frigging around to get it setup correctly etc, and the -10% when selling it.

just got myself blown into oblivion because i forgot to ask for docking permission, magnificent.

lol. Sounds like a whale of a time!

try robigo mines platform instead Cap
i have both a python and conda out there just to mix it up

Great tip. Just tried it.

Best Hasuer's reach time: ~14 minutes from launch to touchdown for 13.43 million cr

vs

Best Robigo Mines time: ~11 minutes from launch to touchdown for 15.675 million cr

Passenger Krait build is here: https://s.orbis.zone/30t with 5 cabins.

Can even increase the cr a little more if I had all 5 filled with those juicy 3.7 mill cr elite jobs, but I
had a couple of 2.x mill ones in there this time.

Thanks for the tip!

Spam killing cyclops. 2 mil for a fight that takes a couple of minutes. Not counting time spent docking/undocking, searching for NHSS, etc.

If you have the modules to kill cyclops, chances are you already have a ton of money.
This is aimed at fairly new players. With around 5 million credits, you can easily outfit a Type-6 to do passenger runs.

Just manage to get to the nearby system of Ceos, either on the Type-6 or another travel ship and then use the ship transfer on the Type-6. After you reach that system, outfit the Type-6 full of cabins (mixture of business and economic cabins) and a shield generator if you think you can't handle interdictions. Otherwise put a docking computer on the size 2 Optional slot to make docking faster.

After that just go to Robigo Mines or Hauser Station (Hauser station can scan ships and pays slightly less creds per mission, on top of being further from the star)

Accept all passenger missions that ask you to go to Sirius Atmospherics and farm creds and reputation to unlock higher paying missions. After that, just farm away.

You can opt to take rare Engineer materials if you want as well.

huh?
you said you are doing the robigo run in a krait, it would be quicker to do it from robigo mines platform rather than hauser's reach for a speed run if you are using a med pad ship

Doh!. It was late, sorry. I was thinking about the Sothigo Mines cargo runs as an alternate.

Do you get the same passenger missions from Robigo Mines that Hauser gives?
I had to visit RM a lot for IF to pay off planetary scan bounties but never checked the passenger board. I'll check it out though.

They're different, but I think the factions are the same.

Robigo Mines missions pay more but Hauser Station has Large dock pads. So choose between more passengers paying less or less passengers paying more.

You're right. I just zipped back to Brunel and swapped out all the cabins for economy max.

Just ran a little test & best Robigo Mines time: ~10.5 minutes from launch to touchdown for 21 million cr in the Krait. Elite missions really help, so I guess it's a little reward from FD for doing all that explorer grinding too. I could cut time with more range so will have to engineer that drive a little more. Don't want to use a guardian FSB boost anyway as that would take a class 5 slot which is worth a 4.5+ mill cr trip slot.

A python would be better though, one more cabin.

Got caught in a traffic jam and had to wait a little though, which is the only downside of Robigo Mines. Seems about a 10% chance of that happening sometimes.

I meant the cyclops loadouts, already doing the passenger runs (if you read the threads)

so everyone knows:
you Can get scanned at platforms/robigo mines, it is just that there is normally no/less security at platforms to scan you
there is very little security at Hausers reach also normally, sometimes none there to as this is an anarchy system
secondly, if you are not carrying illegal passengers it does not matter at all one way all the other if you get scanned

oh..and you don't get payed more at robigo mines :tgrin: absolute poppy-c.ock
i think i saw a thread yesterday with all this malarchy in it, but i couldn't be bothered to correct it

once in a blue moon you will get interdicted (much more often if you have illegals, sometimes if you have high-risk pass like military personale)
this is fine if you avoid interdiction, but if not you are prolly going to go pop in those gimped out ships
and if you come crying on the forums as some do, i will be the first to tell you "serve you right" :tgrin:
still others have "mishaps" trying to land etc, then try to blame the DC or something, which is once again "serve you right"

People complain on the forums about dying in a ship with almost no defense?
yes they do :tgrin:
better yet, they fly that crap in open then complain when they are popped!!..you cannot avoid interdiction from another player, only NPC
these ppl are partially to blame for the piracy nerf also, and responsible for the "carebear" fallacy

Swapped out the Krait for a Python to add another 6 slot. Already half paid for with just one run as I had all the modules apart from another 6E economy. https://s.orbis.zone/32j

I had to use a 7D power distributer to get some boost, it seems more sluggish than the Krait and a bit slower - but definitely the beast for cargo/passengers. Lucky I did as I got interdicted on the way back in and needed that boost - and I had all clean customers too.

I guess I can jack all those up later when I get engineering but that's as far as I can max it out at the moment.

the python imo is the most versatile ship in the whole game, it truly can do everything well, not the best, but well
the krait serves to enhance on that to the more combat oriented player sacrificing a bit of versatility everywhere else
