Black Market "Service Restricted"
Why is it that, whenever I go to the contacts page at one particular space station (prob. some others, too), the Black Market contact is always locked out as "Service Restricted".

Most stations that don't provide Black Market access simply don't have a Black Market contact listed in the contacts page. This one does, but you can't access it. :steamfacepalm:

Do you have a fine or bounty on you?.

Normally this means that the station/starport has a Black Market, but it is unavailable at the time.

This previous steam discussion may help.

Tbh. Would be kind of dumb that a bounty restricts your access to the (illegal) black market on a station...
That is a thing i'd report as an actual bug.

Could also be restricted because it's in a Power system which disables them (ADL...)

Was just a thought since a fine or bounty will give you restrictions for few services, dunno about Black Market.

Some of the controlling powers disable the black market when they are in control.

Prolly what you are experiencing.

Do any black markets require rep with the local faction?

Why the game can't just simply explain why, remains a mystery!?! FDev, whenever something is restricted, inactive or in any other way not accessible, it requires an explanation why, that's usability 101.
I thought you need to improve your reputation to at least "Cordial" on the owning factor for that station.

Some (most) stations don't have that restriction. I could be wrong.
Some political powers restrict what services can be run on stations under their control.
