HUD color change not working,
So i'm trying to change my HUD color finally. And I'm using the HUD manager app. So I get the config I want from no2o, but hte change doesn't happen. The config file looks like this by the way

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<GraphicsConfig>
<GUIColour>
<Default>
<LocalisationName>Standard</LocalisationName>
<MatrixRed> 1.00, 0.00, 0.00 </MatrixRed>
<MatrixGreen> 0.00, 0.30, 0.00 </MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue> 0.00, 0.60, 1.00 </MatrixBlue>
</Default>
</GUIColour>
</GraphicsConfig>

anyone know what is wrong with it?

- is it under AppData/Local? The hidden folder?

- try removing all the unnecessary 0s and decimals (1, not 1.00)

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<GraphicsConfig>
<GUIColour>
<Default>

<MatrixGreen> 0.08, 0.14, 1 </MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue> 1, -0.03, -1 </MatrixBlue>
</Default>
</GUIColour>
</GraphicsConfig>

Wait is HUD manager supposed to be in the local appdata folder? The installaton instructions tell you to place it in the steam install directory

Not a manager, just this file @ GraphicsConfigurationOverride.xml @

Some managers not work.
I recommend make HUD changes manually.

I used this website:
http://arkku.com/elite/hud_editor/

And then I typed (not copied) the numbers into the file, using Notepad.
They're the set of numbers under 'Standard'.

You can slide the sliders around and enter numbers, until you get something you like.

I recommend trying each one you like in game, as some settings may have undesirable effects on character portraits.

And remember to make a backup copy of the original file.

I also made a copy of my edited file, as well. Just in case an update to the game resets it later.

This was one of the first things I sought out to do when I got the game as the orange was hurting my eyes.

Discovered that the HUD manager I had was broken and am using the ED Profiler instead, works great for anyone who needs it.
