Details on superpower rank progress
Was hoping someone could enlighten me on the intricacies of superpower rank progress. I know the gist, but what about details?
Does the amount of progress correlate more or the same or at all with mission reward? Does choosing a higher faction rep reward over pay give more rank progress as well? If progress is a flat rate, does it increase with your relations to the faction you get a mission from?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Increase in rank is linier. The more missions you do the more experience you get towards the next level. Choosing a reward option that give more superpwer experience is the way to go if that is your goal, to increase rank at a faster pace. Once you hit 100% of a given rank you will have to look for a Navy mission to complete in order to actually advance.

Navy missions are varied; from simply delivering an courior pack to another station or delivering some commodity to actual combat. Your choice in the matter. Navy missions now appear as a new catagory and from what I've heard happen pretty quickly. I am a King for the Imperials and an Admiral in the Federation Navy so I don't pay allot of attention to the state of things as they they stand now.

Forgive me, but I already know that more missions means more experience.
I've never once seen a mission reward for higher superpower experience. Where do you find those?

Do normal missions that have normal reputation as a reward. There is no special superpower reputation reward. Once your current rank reaches 100% look for missions that have in their title the word "Navy". These missions are only given by factions which you are allied with.

Keep in mind that sometimes no matter how much you look for these missions you will not find them. That happens because even though on your panel it says 100%, in reality it might be 99.8% or 99.9%. In that case just complete one more mission in order to make sure that it has actually reached 100%.

Note that even if you have reached 100%, your progression still gets calculated for the next rank if you continue to do missions.

Some missions will hace +++, others will be +++++ etc. The more +s the more exp.

I'm sorry as well, based on your question I got the impression you were just starting out as the increments in faction advancement is pretty obvious. Peace out.

I'm not asking about faction advancement. I'm asking about superpower rank advancement. I even asked if faction rep rewards affect superpower rank progress in the post.

I know about the promotion missions. I'm more asking about what kind of missionbs advance towards 100% faster, or in greater increments. I know it is not a set rate per mission, as I've seen the progress go up by 3% after a mission, and other times over 10%.

Faction reputation = Superpower reputation
There are no different kinds of reputation. You gain reputation with a faction, it increases your superpower reputation too.

As Skinny Legs said some missions will have +++, others will be +++++ etc. The more + the more reputation it gives you.

But the reputation is irrelevant for the Superpower rank progression. It only helps indirectly, by providing you with more missions to do.

What seems to give the most of the rank progression is data delivery missions, and also donations (not much related to the donation money used, so don't burn on a lot of 1Mil donations).

No, superpower rank progress is not the same as faction reputation. If the amount of rank progress you gain correlates with the amount of faction rep you gain with a mission, that's great to know, but they are not the same thing.

Thank you for being the first person to give a straight answer :)

And/or this (very old, but it outlines the mechanics behind).

Not really, but thank you. I'm already allied with the Feds and Imps through reputation, yet I'm still working on my rank. THere is a separate page on rank on the wiki, but it does not answer the questions I asked.

Take a look into the 2nd link. ;)

I'm hesitant to trust it since it's so old. It calls the rank a hidden system, and it's claiming the dropship and clipper are the only rewards. The system must have been substantially updated, and I have to wonder if the algorithims dictiating progression weren't as well, you know?
IIRC if you maxed out on a factions rep any further mission rep gain does only give a fraction of super power rep. Might be outdated, though.
