About the "music player"
Sooo, anyone knows how it works? Or figured it out by now? I looked in differernt folders in search for a "player music" (or similar) folder to put my music into, but there is none. And i cant select anything ingame either, theres just nothing. Im playing in VR and its really immersion breaking when i have to take the headset off to change/play music or open the SteamVR menu.

Anyone know anything? Im grateful for any help

If you are talking about the built-in audio player, then it's for the in-game audio only. Like GalNet news, audio logs, stuff like that. Not to play external audio files, like music.

ohhhh okay, then maybe I just misunderstood the feature... Kinda sad, i wish i could load me music in it, nothing like flying 30c past a star while listening to soothing lofi jazz

I use "Music Bee" for a player and "voice attack" to control it. It's pretty simple and actually works very well. Just search YouTube for how to set it up and you should find it pretty quick.

okay Voice attack is dope aight? Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dope! I only came around to play with it a little but damn it feels great to just say stop and the music pauses. So good

I would imagine giving the ship voice commands is dope too!

How did you go around the focus loss? If I try it in say Overwatch and have MusicBee as the target, it sorta tabs me out the game and does the same stuff in game aswell

Like, ive got stop/resume set to SPACE. If I say stop now, i jump in game... idk, thats the only thing that bugs me, that and the focus loss

Add a line to the music player commands that tells Voice Attack to focus the game window after doing stuff in other programs.
If you run the game in borderless windowed mode, you'll hardly notice the focus loss.

would be interesting to have an ingame mp3 player and the acoustics would change depending on the ship you are in. The cavernous bridge of the Anaconda might sound great for opera :D But it might make ships feel more personal and give them more character!

You can pick and choose articles from Galnet or info from the Codex and place them in the playlist you refer to.

You might find the hard textures of a space ship aren't that great for sound.
Would need a rug or two at least, curtains would help too.
Would be awfully bouncy otherwise.....

On the Anaconda's bridge everything will sound like an opera. ;)
