You can either pull the pirates out of supercruise one by one, or you can go to one of Resources Extraction Sites (RES), or to a lesser extent - to a Nav. Beacon. You will get a lot of pirates to choose from there.
Make sure that they are marked as "Mission Target". And hope that the "bug", that doesn't count those targets towards your goal, wouldn't "bite" you.
Thanks again for the time !
I get something on the order of 4-8 interdictions per run taking cargo between 2 stations in the same system. Sometimes I get interdicted while in the middle of another interdiction. I have pirates jumping in and attacking me while I'm fighting other pirates...and they're all elite Anacondas and FDL's.
yeah you can stack 20 missions, just have 1 unit of cargo from each mission and you should be able to get 80 mission-spawned interdictions and a few random ones on top of that.
I lost my first interdiction today. Was interdicted while FSD was charging to jump from supercruise to another system. BAM! Interdiction! Had it aligned perfectly with the escape vector, then got the message "Align with target." So i thought "That's my way out of this."
Nope.
Just meant I lost to the pirate.
Insructional messages shouldn't be appearing like that if following them means a rebuy.
Let's say I need to kill pirates from Potriti system. If I take a shipping mission where I need to deliver 10 goods to Eravate. If I go to Potriti with the 10 goods, will it bait Potriti's pirate to hijack me ?
Beside, just want to share a tip for pirate hunting I found. From experience I missed many pirates because my ship was to low to reach C speed and they were already at like 5c.
I found out that if you reach the C speed then go back down to 30km/s, it will be much faster to enter again C speed so chasing will be way easier.
So after a kill, I go back to Supercruise, reach C Speed, then go back down to waiting for a pirate.
Your supercruise speed goes up pretty fast. How much up it goes depends on how far you are from a source of mass around you.
