Ship's Voice
So, for some reason, even though I have the Celeste voice, the default female voice still seems to be on? It sucks and I really wanna hear the right voice. Any tips?

Just for clarification. I have got the celeste voice selected when I check it in liveries.

Are you in the right ship? Also if you're using fighters or SRVs, you'll have to change your COVAS for them too.

have you maybe got the https://www.hcsvoicepacks.com/ voice pack of Celeste as that is a third party voice profile that works with voice attack and most have real voiced profiles that when setup with voice attack and can take orders from you to control the ship,

so just to clarify you have bought Celeste's voice,

which one the fdev store one :

https://www.frontierstore.net/eur/game-extras/elite-dangerous-game-extras/cockpit-voice-assistant-celeste.html

or have you got the :

https://www.hcsvoicepacks.com/ the hcs voice packs Celeste one.

if it is the fdev one * this is the store instructions"

COVAS or Cockpit Voice Assistants change the voice of the computer of your current ship.

COVAS purchases will work for both Elite Dangerous and Horizons players.

Purchasing a COVAS via the Frontier Store allows you to apply it to your ship in-game via any Starport Services with a Livery section.

When docked in your ship, bring up the Starport Services Menu. Navigate to the Livery menu, and select the"Vessel Voice" tab/filter.

• This item can be used with any ship you currently own.
• It does NOT alter the performance parameters of your Ship in any way.
• If your ship is destroyed you may re-apply any owned COVAS you wish to use.

I hope that helps Cmdr o7

So make sure you have selected her voice make sure it's not got the blue buy it now sticker on it, and you have edited the livery layout where you change ship names and engine colour in the station livery option top right (as described above), and its chosen for the ship your in at the moment,
I heard there were multiple language voices and various new voices for the ships, but I thought it was part of the new update coming but looks I like it may already be a thing.

If you have you got the https://www.hcsvoicepacks.com/ version and not the Fdev ship one don't worry that's awesome too as it is a fantastic addon feature, that once set up will be well worth the money spent on it

the hcsvoicepacks need the latest full version of voice attack set up to work to run correctly and voice attack is worth every penny :D

The Livery section one from fdev its a click and pay from inside the livery part of the game and takes you to the store page, or the link above, That I posted, I think just reads out the ship commands and doesn't take orders as the https://www.hcsvoicepacks.com/ voices can

Yeah so I have the voice selected and I did buy it through the frontier store. But for some reason it doesn't seem to actually play her voice even with it selected.

I'll take a guess and say that the voice packs are only for ship announcements like overheating, the FSD countdown, etc., but they won't change the text-to-speech used for reading Galnet.

maybe try changing it to the free voice victor then if that works, try changing to celeste and you have tried rebooting the game also

are you doing this :)
When docked in your ship, bring up the Starport Services Menu. Navigate to the Livery menu, and select the"Vessel Voice" tab/filter.

it's the instructions on how to do it from the store see the bit what says filter

then see how Celeste, Alex, Archer and Jefferson have the blue buy it squares with the arrow in it for me, has your Celeste got the blue square ie can it be selected and free and it's not got the blue buy sign on it

Sounds very strange. Can you record some video footage of the problem?
