Manufactured Materials - Where to find

I find the following class of Manufacutured material are extremely hard to come by:

Heat Class
Mechanical Class
Capasitor Class

Others no real problems collecting so, is there a particular place to find these. I note that when i kill a Large T-9 or a T-10 I get some of these. Is this the only way; pull T-9s out of hyper in an Anarchy system and collect the materials??

You can check crash sites.

Do missions for high value materials, then trade them at the material trader.

Or go to Dav's hope and use the exploit before it's patched out (just search it).

You can find lots of them in "emission" signal sources, or you blow up some ships; bounty hunting in moderately attractive RES works well.

When 3.3 comes out, finding high-yield signal sources will be easy.

Thanks, I do this now but, the above 3 classes are still very hard to find and the trading conversion is very poor between different classes and level of materials.

Yes sometimes you get lucky with a USS but, still have almost never found some of these materials and only have gotten by trading. And I do farm combat sites, USS, wrecks etc but still have a hard time finding the above class of materials.

There are particular places to find each. Each state has a different type. Like Example this one is found in a federal system - https://inara.cz/galaxy-component/76/ -This one is found in imperial systems mainly - https://inara.cz/galaxy-component/49/ Some others need boom state ect.

Heat 1-4 is Dav's Hope. Proto Heat Radiators can be found at High Grade Emmisions in Boom state.

Mechanical 1-4 is Dav's Hope. Improvised Components can be found at High Grade Emmisions - Civil Unrest

Capacitors 1-4 is Dave's Hope. Military Supercapacitors can be found at High Grade Emmisions - War/Civil War

Also, make sure you get EDEngineer, it's a great little piece of software and helps you keep track of where you find stuff.

Thanks guys, helpful but still a bloody long grind to find them. Will go to Dav's and then try mining civil unrest USS and War Systems USS. I want to have at least 50% of the storage units to enable engineering changes/experimentation with configs but, not sure it is worth the time and energy.

you can farm the easier ones and then use the material traders to change
many of the lower materials to the better ones

When going for USS only stop for High Grade Emmisions. Once you find the right system you can get 100 in a few hours. Sometimes you will find 3x3 in a single USS, get 11 of those and it's job done and onto the next type.

Oh, and as for those Datamined Wake Exceptions, standard approach is Distribution Centres in Famine systems, but another method which can be faster and more flexible is...

Gorge on those data types and then exchange at the raw data trader for the things you need.
