Need help. Steam was unable to verify ownership...

Yesterday, I bought the game and downloaded it. But for some reason, when I try to launch the game I get an error saying "Steam was unable to verify ownership to request a product key." and where they key would be stays at "Requesting key..." :( Has anyone encountered this error? Is there any fix?

Have you created an account with Frontier? Have you filled in all required details including billing address?

And yeah, I did contact support, but was hoping somebody maybe had a fix I could do since Its gonna take them a while to respond o.o

have you actually logged in the Frontier website and your Frontier account ?

I lately bougth the Horizon pass during the winter sales, and I remember I had some hard time finding where to activate that buy.

So make sure you look into your Frontier account to activate the game.

(unfortunately I don't remember how I did it... )

kinda strange as when you first buy the game and just b 4 you launch you get a couple of keys to post in elite client to verify your game from what i remember, but if you do that wrong then game can not be verified by steam

there are two keys you get one main game and the other horzons dlc.
make sure you enter main game first then horzons as this could give you the error you could be recieving.

and i only aksed before is this elite as i herd people have tried to tamper with the registry which has also given steam problems to fail verify true game.

No, I did not even get the keys. When Steam was supposed to give me the key it says that it couldnt verify the ownership and the window where the key appears just says "Requesting key..." Also, Manwith Noname, that did not work for me :(

in your game library > right click ED > and show the keys of the game.

Are you able to get them from here ?

Heh, no, that's exactly what they are saying. Steam isn't filling out the details with the keys.
