Guardian Tech vs cargo capacity
SO, I'm following some guides to grind the guardian tech. THey recommended medium sized ships because large ones have a wider spam of no-turret-area around your ship.

I'm doing fine this far but the guide didn't address an ideal cargo capacity, and to my knowledge I need at least 10 cargo for the Guardian unr/relic/etc...

But apparently I'll also need a number of items that I'll have to gather at markets by the time I'm done with the blueprints, and I can't simply switch into an Anaconda because the guide said most of these market items need for the researches are at stations with small or medium sized landing pads.

SImple question: how much cargo capacity do I need to fit into an Explorer to the research of all Guardian modules/guns?

On another note: how much Module/weapon material blueprints do I actually need? At some point I did read someone got 25. but that seens actually a low count.

I know you need at least cargo of 8 for the FSD booster... that's the only module I unlocked.

You don't need urns etc to get blueprints. Those are for the Ram Tah missions. You just need a relic, which is always on hand at the sites.

Once you have all the materials, the largest number of commodities you need at once is 18 for a class 3 shard cannon.

As for how much you need in total, look at the tech broker page on the wiki and add it together.

theres a list of everything you need to unlock them all but they are mixed materials and cargo. and it doesnt say which is witch lol

I think anything over like 40 units is a material.

Those are the commodities from the list, now you don't go fit a big cargo rack on your explorer ship to fit them all, just make sure you can carry the 32 Meta alloys from Darnielle's Progress / Barnacle forest of your choosing.
Ofc you can load everything up on an exploration ship but after the first 8 tonnes of stuff you'll start getting interdicted, so swing by and unlock those modules as soon as you can unless you are at a mission board that would give you more stuff.

There are a bunch on the list that you cannot get from the market place and you need to run missions. Depending on your patience you can get them straight from data delivery missions or you'll be "forced" to ferry some passenger or haul cargo.
If you have trouble finding missions yielding the stuff on the list head for a high-tech or industrial system (preferably in boom) and you should find them pretty fast.

As for how much cargo space you need to go out to guardian space and collect the stuff out there for unlocking all guardian things?
3 tonnes, for the 3 SLF, also you'll need some kind of laser. If you aren't going for the SLFs then 0 is what you need.

Thanks guys, helped a lot. Annie can make +40 LY jumps now, I do intend to get all the research done, but I'll be starting with these must have modules, the FSD is done, next will be the shield module and I guess I'll just go for the guns closer to completion.

Will keep doing the Guardian site jumps on the Explorer, but I'll probably try to do everything else on the Conda, cuz cargo capacity and it can take anything the game throws at it, at least untill I come to the point where I'll be missing resources I can't get on sites without large pads.
