I wanted a purple HUD without losing the red and blue text that the default HUD has. There is an easy way to do this, but doing it the easy way loses the red text for warning notifications. I wanted to keep that.

You can get purple with red text for warnings, but you have to use a very low value for red, so the theme comes out a bit dark. But I think this is the best purple HUD I'm going to get. Here's the values you need for your GraphicsConfigurationOverride.xml:

<MatrixRed> 0.18, 0, 0 </MatrixRed>
<MatrixGreen> 0, 0, 1 </MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue> 0, 1, 1 </MatrixBlue>

Looks good. I like to call that shade "PIMP"

If anyone has any ideas for keeping it this color, but making it brighter, please let me know.

you could try going over 1, you can go from -1 to 2 I think

Its nice, quite deep though, the purple next to the red I'd find hard to read.

I like my purple a little lighter

That worked! I set it to:

<MatrixRed> 0.33, 0, 0 </MatrixRed>
<MatrixGreen> 0, 0, 2 </MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue> 0, 2, 2 </MatrixBlue>

and it's noticeably brighter now. It looks much better.
