How do I know your mission was not talking about light years? The Milky Way is about 100,000 light years across, and that is all we have available in this game.
2 million ls is not such an unusual distance. Wait till you get a mission to Hutton Orbital, thats almost 7 million ls away from its star - but at least you get a free Anaconda when you make that trip the first time.
Here is the trick to do these far journeys: Set course, sit back, and relax. but psst! Dont tell anyone, thats a secret.
and free beer can't forget the free beer.
