My ship left me

I don't know if this is a bug or something but I just landed on some planet to wonder around and my own ship left me here :) Jumped in to space and I can't control it I can't make it come back. What do I do?

Is normal. You can recall the ship back, the panel where you look down at has the option.

well that is the problem I can't do that.On the panel called helm there is nothing. I requested docking to the nearer station and it did dock there. But I can't get in back there.

As a workaround you can launch the base game, not Horizons, and it will offer you to relocate yourself to an orbit around the planet. You will be back inside your ship (even if your ship was destroyed, while you are in your SRV).

if your in the station , request docking it will let you park the srv inside a landing bay, it may not have your ship there, but drive in and park, then use the panel between your legs to request boarding . when not in the station and just on the surface, then use the same pannel options , "Recall ship" and it will come back to you , if hunting mats then its good idea to "dissmiss ship" so not to interfear with the radar on the srv.

yea , its not a good idea to keep fliping in and out of horizons. it works yes , but it may eventualy messs up your game saves. you shouldnt need to do it again now anyway, you know how to do it.

If you docked, you can't recall i think while you are within like 10km of the station where you docked.

Either drive out of that range or else go back to the station, go to the pad where you docked, park underneath it, and you get an option to return to ship when you look down, just like if you parked it out in the wild.

I think it was some sort of bug because I landed it on a planet, switched to SRV and while I am in it my ship took of and jumped in to probably another system. Then I went back to the station near me with my srv requested docking and the ship came back. And there was no option for me to control it.

you need topark inside or on , the hanger they gave you to go to with the srv , whether your ship is on that one or not, then when you get there (marker on radar) use the panel on the srv to board ship.

Edit, this is from my first experience , when the horizons first came out, i have no idea of any changes since. I have never docked an srv at a station since then.

I think I have to clarify something. I didn't land on a station, I landed some random place on the planet.And when I switched to SRV as I said the ship took off. Which is kinda weird because I have no second pilot and I never ordered it to do that. It just left me in the middle of the nowhere.

yes , i do understand that, your ship dose fly off, and you drove then to the neerest station and requested docking? so now on your radar is a marker to the dock they want you to drive to. go to that one and board ship option will load you back into your ship docked.

in fact to recall the ship you need to select ur srv in the role panel

Okay since nobody else seems to be giving a straight answer: After you land on a planet and drive 2 km away in an srv, your ship automatically dismisses itself to supercruise. If you go to the center panel in between your legs and select the srv that you are in, there should be an option to recall your ship. Once your ship has landed again, you should drive up to it (should be able to see it in contacts and target it) and park yourself under the orange rectangle. Then go to the center panel again and select board ship, or if that isn't an option, adjust where your srv is until it is an option.
