meh, does it really matter? the differences aren't that big. I would just go with the one that you think looks the best

i use imperials man. most maneuverable, which is what the fighter's for, afterall. ifighters with plasma repeaters. Love em man.

Here is my experience:

Condor - Fast but not the fastest, strong but not the strongest.

Taipan (My fave over all) - The slowest but still pretty quick, the coolest exterior, and the strongest, it will take some damage before it goes boom.

Imperial fighter - fastest, very fast, cool interior, but if you are in VR and the cat jumps in your lap ajnhd scares you and you jump a little, the ship blows up, if you sneeze, the ship blows up, if you raise your voice a bit to tell the wife you'll spend time with her after the combat is over it blows up.

It is fast but dainty, and made for vegans and the like.

Taipan has great boost speed ideal for hit&run tactics, can also shake of a few shots before destruction. Condor is ok. Imperial fighter pretty much made of paper.

It is worth noting that the Condor is the only one with fixed multicannons as a weapon choice, and they are insanely powerful, excellent for bombing bigger ships.

Aside from that, it's really up to you, they go on the scale of speed versus durability, so if you can't decide, then the middle ground, again the Condor, might be a good choice. But fighters are cheap to refit, so giving all three a shot might be a good idea, along with some of the different loadouts avalable.

Personally, I like to take the multicannon Condor and a fixed beam Taipan, I generally run with heavy kinetic weapons, so if I have an NPC pilot with me, I give them the beam Taipan to help with shields.

Condor with Multicannons is, IMO the best one for AI. It's basically an two size three multicannons with unlimited ammo, and Master+ NPCs are deadly accurate with it.

Any Fixed Beam Taipan is definitely the second best choice. With Fixed Plasma Taipan coming in third.

Imperial fighter fixed Beams are also very potent, but die very easily.

Another vote for I-Fighter. It's the one and true answer. Just don't clip your wings, especially in VR.

Taipain is OK and Condor is guttertrash.

Be anal - match them to the brand of your ship. Taipan for the Anaconda and Krait, Condor for the Corvette and Gunship, Imperial for the Cutter. Unless of course you're in a Lakon ship. Why are you in a Lakon ship? Get out of that Lakon ship and into a better one.

Lol i actualy prefer the imp fighter with fixed plasma, its great , take 1 hit and then hit the boost , shields are instantly back on , and its back in the fight with fixed plasma havock :)

It also has a chaf with the plasma , no other dose. not with plasma , i think the middle one has a point defence with its.

Condor MC takes less distributor draw and inflicts more damage than any other fighter as a result. If you've never tried one, you should. I wish the Taipan had a Multicannon option. Or better, one of the fighters had a Frag cannon.
