How Cargo Scoop works?
Hello everyone, I'm new at the game and I still can't figure out how the cargo scoop works, after deplying it, even i use the radat keeping the material inside the little radar on the corner (and the speed around 30-38) the material keeps bouncing away from it, there is something else to press when the material is in the radar? (im using keyboard + mouse) Sorry for the noob question :P

ETA: Also, collector limpets are super helpful.

Okay thank you :) a last question, is keyboard and mouse a good option? Because the mouse seems a bit tricky...dunno why xD

Is probably not a skill you need to learn too much as later on with bigger ships you just use a collector limpet

But if is bouncing about in front, just stop your ship, pull back a little bit and re-align it ahead of you, you might be actuallly brushing the material in front so it keeps bouncing away. Your cargo scoop is below your ship, if you can't be sure you can keep it exactly center, aim so that it is slightly lower.

So what a beginner should do at the very first start? What kind of mission should I start with ?n I thought I needed to mine at the beginning of the game

Some ships have a a "deep" hull and can bump the material before the scoop gets there. It helps to aim so that your target is at the lower part of the targeting thing.

If you are going to be collecting any more than a few, save yourself some time and get a collector limpet controller. Remember to also stock up on limpets before you head out.

Whatever you want. Personally I started out with a few data delivery missions, but quickly switched to assassinations and blackbox retrieval before I got out of my sidewinder. I have almost 150 hours by now and haven't mined yet.

mouse keyboard rocks but you have to put roll on A nd D and place YAW on the mouse!
W and S is thrusters up and down and Q and E thrusters left and right!

It takes practice. Start off practicing by going slow. I mean have your speed in the teens.

fyi, flying with FA off allows you to easily match trajectory with cargo from any vector... well easily with practice lol :)
