Where to go for guardian blueprints?
I want to have a go at unlocking some of the guardian stuff.

I have a ton of encoded materials from attempting the Ram Ta mission (only got to 34 before I got bored), but I'm missing blueprints.

A quick google search tells me I have to look at ancient ruins, but I don't recall ever seeing that sphere thing during my last outing. Just lots of obelisks.

Guardian structures (not ruins) are what you want.

Thanks. Time to fire up the Asp and get going.

Short version of how to do it:

Drive around and kill any Guardian skimmers that spawn first. There are usually 4 or so that will spawn.

If you need some guardian materials, shoot the slanting pylons that have 3 destructable panels and collect the stuff that falls (technology components, power components, etc).

Now go to the main structure (usually located at one end) and when close two pylons should come out of the ground with glowing balls in them. Ignore them for the moment because 2-4 skimmers should now have spawned, take them out.

Now shoot and keep shooting the glowing balls until it says pylon activated. When you start, a timer will activate. Don't worry, you have plenty of time.

Now drive around the site, there are 4 more pylons to find and activate. If you already drove close to them they will already be up. If not, they can be hard to find with eyeball, but there are 2 on each side of the base and parallel to each other, so when you find one on the left or right you will find its twin on the other side. Mainly listen for them coming out of the ground.

When all 6 pylons have been activiated, go grab an ancient relic (shoot the towers with glowing things at the top to release a relic).

Return to the main area and in front of it there is an obvious area where you drop the relic.

When done, you get some activity at the base and a glowing sphere comes out of the base. Scan it with your scanner and you will get a blueprint.

Been there 12 hours ago, a Guardian Structure. It didn't have a data terminal. Can somebody confirm that it works, before I leave the system?

The terrain is rough, I barely found a spot for an Asp-X. Don't go there with an Anaconda.

Here's how to do it (see the description too). It is for weapon blueprints but the process is exactly the same for module blueprints.

Thanks, I will try again later today.

Something a lot of people forget to do, is you have to approach the main structure that houses the Ancient Data Terminal before all the pylons start spawning.

Yes, that was it. Got it working like that.

This is going to sound daft... But I have more trouble finding suitable landing spots for my Asp than I do with my conda...

Whoah! Can you also land with it at Hutton Orbital?
:)

I think it's because the Asp has a super low landing gear, so it needs a very flat surface to land without rocks hitting the bottom of the hull.

In other news, I'm starting to remember part of the reason I quit the Ram Ta mission. Driving the SRV around those structures is a pita. If they ever add a new surface vehicle I hope it's scimmer or at least not as wide.
