Vr elite
Hey all any one got a good tip to change the message screen location in the the cockpits , every time I turn my noggin to look high left all my controls (I use touch seems more spacey futuristic fingy to me I use a stick n throttle in real planes) my controls stop working really embarrassing flying gracefully into space port structure coz I’m looking at the email screen or getting dead coz I can’t move
If not come on mr/mrs elite devs move the bloody message screen
I have tried resetting vr view but end up with my head down by my crotch again embarrassing peking up over the forward console n
So please let’s get the message screen shifted outa eye height
Thank you x

you can disable that somewhere in options. I use buttons to select those panels instead of having them activate when I look at them.

+1 I just disable the look at panel option (forget setting name) to prevent them from popping up looking around. But this makes it so you have to hit a button to bring them up. Or if using voice commands (VoiceAttack or similiar) to bring them up.

Voiceattack is a must in my opinion for this with VR. However, I use a combo side button with my HAT on my flightstick to select whatever panel I want. Normal hat presses control lateral and vertical thrusters for me, when I hold one side button, the HAT controls which panels pop up, when I hold another, it controls PIPs, and when I hold another, it lets me scroll through subtargets. Combo buttons with the HAT are key to making this work in my opinion, even with voiceattack / voicepaks.

yeah np. your next challenge will be the galaxy map. Just spend some time mapping the joystick controls to that. i use some buttons to pan the map around, move it up and down, and then the throttle zooms, and moving the stick controls the different axis of rotation. It's actually pretty easy to use when you do it that way.

when you first start out in this game, either in VR or not, a huge part of the learning curve is getting your controls right. There aren't many games that have this many buttons, and so getting them all setup in a way that's intuitive to you can be tedious. But bear with it for a couple hours and it'll make a huge difference.

I’m finding this bit by bit as I said before I use the touch I do have a rhino x56 but honestly my preference is the touch alongside is the mouse for chart work etc and it seems to be working very well also just figured out that the vive face cushion fits with just a lil bit of fiddling and Velcro man those rift face cushions are horrible I love the rift but 2 hours in it feels like sinusitis
Thanks again

and then the throttle zooms,
You might want to rethink it, as it will make using the map during a flight very unpleasant. Cause your current throttle position will make the map zooming as soon as you open it, often losing a focus of your destination.

I tried it that way, but rebound the zoom to buttons very fast.
